Geraldine M. Scribben

COLEBROOK — Geraldine M. Scribben, age 79, of Colebrook, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2007, at the Villa-on-the-Lake in Conneaut.She was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Gerald and Frances Dimnik. Mrs. Scribben moved to Colebrook from Cleveland in 1955 and with her husband, Michael, raised their family and beef cattle on the family farm.She was a member of St. Mary Church in Orwell and the Daughters of Mary. She enjoyed going to rummage and garage sales. She also enjoyed reading and the outdoors.Geraldine is survived by her children, Linda (Gordon) Hitchcock of Andover, Michael G. (Jean) Scribben of Middlefield, Timothy (Brenda) Scribben of Colebrook, Kathleen (Jim) Smolinski of Andover and Patricia (Steve) Paris of New Lyme; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Michael in 1989; and a son, Terrance in 2003.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple St., Orwell, Ohio, with the Rev. Gregory Fedor as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.Friends and relatives will be received from 9 a.m. until time of Mass on Friday at the church.Arrangements by the PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 140 E.
