I met Mr. Garland in college, as Stacey's roommate. As an education major, I immediately saw him as a role model, a tough dad, but also a big softy at times. He never wanted to leave me sit in the dorm or dumpy apartment when he & Mrs G would come visit and take Stacey out somewhere. I know your family has lost a great leader. Stacey and family, our heartfelt condolences. Sincerely love, Lynn Nagle, husband Ron and children.

Mr. Garland was a good man, although he seemed to call me and Phil Pentz to the office quite alot. You always dreaded the call, but he was very fair in any punishment he delivered. Now, you can look back and miss the conversations and the man. Everytime I drove by his house, no matter what time of day or nite, I would blow my horn in acknowledgement to Mr. Garland. My thoughts are with his family.

Mr. Garland was a school principal who commanded respect--not because of his position, but because of character. Thomas Jefferson said, "God grant that men of principle shall be our principal men." Mr. Garland was such a man.

Mr. Garland made a big impact on our lives as he walked the halls of Pymatuning Valley High School. If you had a problem, just go in, close the door, and he would listen. A great man, and he will be missed.
My prayers to the family.

What a wonderful man he was. He was high school principle at Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover for many years and had the respect of everyone, students and staff and enjoyed being with the students everyday. As he walked the halls and mingled with everyone he had a grin that said it all. My wife and I talked with him a few months ago when he was in front of his house walking around. He was so happy to see us and talked about school as if it were yesterday. We looked for him every time we drove by hoping to see him. My wife was a teacher under him and I was a student and later a school employee. He taught me to respect others. He will be missed by hundreds especially his family. Our sympathy to all.
