CONNEAUT — Leonard R. Scribben Jr., age 49, a resident of Conneaut, Ohio, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at UHS-Conneaut Medical Center in Conneaut.Born Nov. 18, 1958, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Leonard and Marie (Wiser) Scribben. He graduated from Jefferson High School and Ashtabula County Vo-Ed in 1977.Leonard worked at Kennametal in Orwell, for 22 years. On Aug. 9, 2007, he married his wife Laurie (McKinley) Scribben.Mr. Scribben enjoyed gardening, roses, all sports and professional wrestling. He had a deep love for his children.Survivors include his wife, Laurie Scribben of Conneaut; parents, Leonard and Marie Scribben of Rock Creek; children, Joshua Scribben of Roaming Shores, Amy Scribben of Roaming Shores, and Jeremy Scribben of Newton Falls; four step-children and three step-grandchildren; brothers, Mark Scribben of Wooster and Jeffrey Scribben of Cut Back, Mont.He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Scribben.“MAY GOD BE WITH HIM AND MAY HE REST IN PEACE“Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 3119 W. Water St., Rock Creek, Ohio, will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Dear Scribben Family,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Lenny. He was such an inspiration to all of us, the struggle and loss he endured throughout his life and was able to keep going. I'm not sure we could have been as strong. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time, And may Lenny finally rest in peace. I know he will be greatly missed, but the memory of Lenny will be in our hearts forever!!
