KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP — Glen "Bud" Laferty Jr., age 69, of South Ridge East, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at his home.

He enjoyed working on his son's Harley, fabricating tools and machinery for his logging company, traveling with Mary, laughing with his family and friends, and hanging out with his faithful dog "Sadie."
The best times of his life were spent enjoying his home and family, especially his grandson, Kyle.
His survivors include his wife, Mary (Alexander) Laferty, whom he married on Jan. 28, 1958; his daughter, Denise and her husband, Daniel McTigue, whom he considered a son; his son, Glen Laferty III and his companion, Dawn Moore, who loved and cared for Bud and encouraged the family during his illness; and grandson, Kyle Lee McTigue, all of Ashtabula; siblings, Mary Kirby of Lebanon, Margie (Daniel) Custer of Gillette, Wyo., Blanche (Donald) Corlew of Ashtabula, Sue McGeary of Geneva, Helen (Clarence) Turnquist, Deborah Lafferty and Richard (Edna) Laferty, all of Ashtabula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward (Gabby) Laferty; two sisters and a brother in infancy; and his parents.
A Service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at DUCRO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Jeff Hollon, Chaplain of Ashtabula County Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville.
