DOROTHY AIKO HAITSUKA

September 1, 1919 to
June 25, 2009

Age 89, of Kaneohe, passed away June 25, 2009 at home. She will be remembered for her generosity and community service. Retired Kaneohe Elementary School baker. Active member with the University of Hawaii 4-H and Family Community Education programs for 57 years. Also a member of the Health Support Group at the Kaneohe Senior Center. An avid seamstress.

Preceded in death by husband, Stanley T. Haitsuka and son, Melvin (Tomiko) Haitsuka. She is survived by sons Gordon (Judith), Calvin (Ruth Shiroma), David (Ruth Beppu), Jon (Alice), and Alan (Diane) Haitsuka, daughters Jeanne (Hugo) Nakasone and Adelle (Michael) Wright, 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces.

Visitation 9 am, Service 10 am, Monday, July 13, 2009 Hosoi Mortuary. Casual attire. No flowers. Inurnment 1 pm Valley of the Temples for Dorothy and Stanley.
