Marjory Blood Obituary

Marjory Blood died on January 27, 2021 in Seaford, Delaware. She was 92 years old.

Born in Minneapolis, MN, she was educated at the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Design. She married William W. Blood in 1949, and together they raised five children. Rev. Blood was a WWII Air Force Test Pilot, and engineer by education. After years of employment in the engineering industry, he entered into the Masters of Divinity program at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria.

His subsequent career culminated in residence of their family at VTS, where Bill and Margie remained until his retirement. They relocated to the Eastern Shore, where Margie continued her passion for art, both as an artist and judge. She was a life member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, The Working Artist's Forum, and the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program, COGAP. In addition, she volunteered for many years with Habitat for Humanity.

Mrs. Blood is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years. She is survived by her children: Ann Appleton of Newland, NC, Martin Blood of Savannah, GA, Mary Cockriel of Lexington, KY, Jane Carrier of Enfield, NH and Susan Smith of Cape May, NJ. Her larger family included the addition of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held in The chapel on the Hill, Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA. Arrangements and service date and time will be announced at a later date due to current restrictions. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Habitat for Humanity, 350 N. Aurora Street, Easton, MD 21601.Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.

LINDA FAIRBANKS

February 3, 2021

I met her when she volunteered at the Easton Restore. She was so knowledgeable when pricing the art that was donated and was so much fun and young at heart. I missed her so much when she moved from Talbot County. I often wondered how she was doing in Delaware but knew she was living life to the fullest and others got to enjoy her zest for life. I remember when she came to the Restore one day in her new sporty Veloster and it suited her.
