Charlie had a wonderful sense of humor. I loved seeing him as I visited a relative nearby. His great love of UNC basketball and pizza were always fun to hear about! He was a delight to know and a blessing to his family. They were very dedicated to him even planting tomatoes outside of his window so he could watch them grow. Sending his family my deepest sympathy.
With much love,

Vicki, Bob, and Patrick, Chuck and Maureen,

Mr. Smith was an amazing man who fully enjoyed his life as well as the comedy in the people around him; it was an honor to know him as well as his beautiful sense of humor; so entertaining. It was heart warming to know both of your parents Vicki. Charlie’s playful spirit and wit will always be with each of you... Love, Bill, Julie, Kaitlynne and Kevin.
