ELSIE LEE "BUNNY" WEST GOODNITE Elsie Lee "Bunny" West Goodnite, 90, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at The Kempton at Brightmore. She was born October 18, 1927, in Columbia, NC, to the late James A. West and Donnie F. Ambrose West. Bunny retired as a Chief Deputy Clerk, US District Court Eastern District North Carolina (E.D.N.C.) and Administrative Assistant to Chief Federal Judge, Algernon Butler, US District Court E.D.N.C. Prior to moving to Wilmington, she was an avid pianist, organist and choir director. After retiring, she and her husband owned and operated Goodnight Frame Gallery in Clinton, NC. She was a long time choir member, along with her husband, at First Christian Church. Bunny was a strong-willed and determined woman, who loved her church and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Cleve Goodnite. Survivors include daughters, Pamela Gwenn Harris Morris and husband Michael, Babette "Babs McDance" Dale Harris McCullen-Welker and husband Allen; step-children, Jerry T. Goodnite, Susan G. Espersen and husband David, and E. Alan Goodnite and wife Pat; grandchildren, J.J. Barnes, Chevis McCullen, Christian McCullen, Chet McCullen, Jason Goodnite, Justin Goodnite and Jared Goodnite and eleven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, January 7, 2018, at First Christian Church 2035 Oleander Dr., Wilmington, NC 28403. The family will receive visitors, at the church, one hour prior to the service. A committal service will be held at 2pm, Monday, January 8, 2018, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Boys and Girls Home of NC, P.O.
