Mr. Lupton was my first advisor at UNCW in 1984 and one of my favorite math teachers. I remember his kindness and patience. I pray that any physical suffering he may have experienced was brief. I'm certain that he is enjoying the benefits of heaven, where God is showing him the solutions to the small set of unsolved math problems that have puzzled mathematicians forever.

I was so sorry to hear about Mr.Lupton's passing. Tommie tried to teach me Math in the early 60's at Wilmington College. Well, I guess he was able to teach me something as I taught Math and Physics on the Community College and University level for 30 years.

Thank you, Mr. Lupton and Rest In Peace!

Mr. Lupton was truly a man of God and he was a most faithful servant for the local congregation at Temple. His gentle, giving spirit certainly left a lasting impression on all of us who knew him. May God's grace and peace be with you during this difficult time.
