Oh Laura, why oh why you are so missed. We were the best of friends in the early years of horses. WE Musketeers had more fun causing trouble at the Half-way, riding our horses to the bar, Dairy Queen and Oh my the day at McDonalds and ET was conceived. I have lost 2 friends and 2 moms since you left us. I remember you sneeking into the ICU and telling the nurse you were my sister- they looked at the long red hair and my blond hair and said "ya right", you can stay. We had the best of times when we had nothing but our horses and our horse friends. How complicated life became as we acquired more possessions in life. Find Casey and Katy and tell them I miss them dearly-will see you again some day and we will go racing on Casey and Sasha like old times. Luv and miss you allot

I met Laura at Total Recall back in 2001 when I got my first Doberman. She had a red female pup at the time and the two pups would have a great time together. I feel like I've been on another planet to just hear that she is gone. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends that knew her best. I last saw her about two years ago at a show where she had her Kansa boy. They looked great together!

I only knew Laura in passing at City Hall - we'd bump into each other at the cafe. We always talked dog and it was so nice to find another person who was so involved in dogs. I will miss her camaraderie. May she be reunited with the dobes that have gone before her.

Laura's dedication and love for Doberman's and her willingness to offer support and knowledge was legendary. Dobie's lost a true crusader. As she crosses the rainbow bridge, it is easy to imagine Calvin running to meet her.

We in the doberman world are greatly saddened by the tragic loss of Laura. I met her for the first time at the UDC Nationals in 2008 and was so very impressed by her conscientious passion for the breed. Since I happen to be in the area, I will pay my respects at her services this evening..

What a huge loss for the Doberman world. You will be missed by so many. Laura, you were my friend, mentor and our "Dobe Encyclopedia" for the last 12 years and we always knew you would have great advice. You inspired me to learn so much about Dobermans. Thank you for Maximus (please give him a hug for us)and Amber. I know you will be showered with kisses from all your buddies who have gone before you. Our sympathy to Laura's family, our prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear of Laura's passing. She was always nice enough to talk to me about dobermans and give advice about the breed. She even stopped out at my house one time, when she lived in the Prior Lake area, with her dogs. She took the time to talk to me this June, at the dog show in Jordan, when I expressed interest in getting a show dog and taking handling classes this fall. I enjoyed talking to her about horses as I ride Dressage and she mentioned that she once did too. I thought she was a very nice lady. I am sure the doberman community will miss her dearly as well as her friends and family.
