Mackey Arthur J. Mackey, Jr., age 77, of Bloomington. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley. Retired employee of N.W. Airlines. Devoted follower of Christ and beloved father and grandfather to son, John (Jean) Mackey; daughters, Gloria (Robert) Sliwinski and Jane Mackey; grandchildren, Sarah Mackey, Joe Murphy, Nick Murphy, Adam Mackey, and Jennifer, Thomas and Christopher Sliwinski; brother, Don (Caroline) Mackey; sister, Elaine (Robert) Adams and sister-in-law, Darlene Thompson; as well as other relatives and friends. Graveside service Monday, 11 AM at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis (meet inside front gate). Funeral service Monday, 1 PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1701 W. Old Shakopee Rd., Bloomington. Visitation Sunday from 5-8 PM at the Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave S., Richfield, and one hour prior to the service at church. I enjoyed getting to know Art as his neighbor. He had such a fun sense of humor and love for music. (He had such a passion for dixieland jazz.) My wife Anita and I will miss him.
