Edward Pafko Obituary

Pafko, Edward age 89, of Richfield. Born in 1924 and raised on a farm in Boyceville, WI; moved to Mpls. in 1948 to marry his wife of 64 years, Ruth Gabrik. Ed worked as a welder for American Bridge Steel and as a draftsman for Lejeune. He was an excellent athlete, excelling in all sports, especially baseball and an accomplished musician with many instruments, especially the accordion and concertina. He volunteered 1000's of performances and made so many people smile and enjoy the moment. He, his brother Lud and sister-in-law Pauline played in their group, "The Pafko's". Ed also performed with the Silver Notes. He and his wife have been volunteers at the Richfield Community Center for over 25 years, helping organize and serve meals to the senior community. Preceded in death by brothers, Mike, John, Lud and Andy. Survived by wife, Ruth; brother, Frank; several nieces, nephews and special friend, Tony Koval. Service Monday, 11 AM at Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Chruch, 201 E. 104th St. Bloomington. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment Pleasant View.
