Sharon Adele Rackner

Rackner, Sharon Adele age 81 of Plymouth, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by husband, Sherman Rackner, parents, Bill & Sally Charney, brother, Merwin "Red" Charney. Survived by children, Cheryl Rackner (Jay Olsen), Judy Witebsky (Steve), Mindy Salper (Bill), and Gary Rackner (Gini); grandchildren, Reid, Heather, Travis, Scott, Lauren, Orrie, Rachel, Tal, Rachael, Justin, Brittani, Aaron, Jason, Ashlee, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Aria, Zoe, Tyler, and Dean; brothers-in-law & sisters- in-law, Sylvia & Sandy Naiditch, Shirley & Alvin Rackner, and cousins, especially Connie & Harry Katz, Olivia Rothstein, and Glenn Charney; many nieces and nephews. Sharon was the most loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend with an open and accepting heart. Also our appreciation to Watchful Caregivers, especially, Wokie, Marie, Mona, Mae, Nancy and Amelia. In addition our heartfelt gratitude to the Allina Hospice Team and Dr. Stuart Bloom and his staff. The family would like to thank all Sharon's dear friends for their bond of friendship over the years. Funeral service TUESDAY (TODAY), 11 am at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5224 West 26th St., St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sharon & Sherman Rackner Endowment Fund at Courage Center, or the donor's favorite charity.
