Robert Moore Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 2 to Apr. 4, 2010.
Moore, Robert W. Age 62, of Medina, loving father, modest fisherman and all around great guy, passed away on Tuesday, March 30 while living life to its fullest. Bob's interests spanned the spectrum from biking and running to gourmet cooking and catching the latest rock show at First Avenue. His fishing prowess earned him the nickname "Big Fish Bob," and his love of family earned him the title of world's best dad. He is survived by four loving children who will miss him dearly, Marnie, Peter (Sonja), Bobby & Ally; wife, Jenny; mother, Pat Moore; siblings, Graeme (Margo) Denning, Gary (Jean) Moore, Lyn (Dan) Yates & Sandy Hess. Preceded in death by father, Robert H. Moore; sisters, Joan Nelson & Carol Battelle and brother, Will Moore. Memorial service Tuesday 11:00 AM at Plymouth Covenant Church, 4300 Vicksburg Lane N. The family will greet friends Monday 5-8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. & Vicksburg Lane. Gearty-Delmore 763-553-1411

Hi Jenny,
I never had the privilige of meeting Bob, but the stories you told about him match up with how everyone else viewed him (a truly amazing friend, husband and father). I was your tile designer in early 2005 when I met you and Ally. You and Ally have been on my heart alot lately, I didn't know why. So, I decided I'd try and find you. This is what I found.... I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family are in my prayers...

To Peter and Marnie - To have known your father was truly special, and knowing him like I did, his greatest joy was his children. I never met Bobby or Ally, but I knew how much he loved you two and how proud he was of your accomplishments. He leaves you a legacy and his love that will guide you the rest of your lives. My memories of Bob with his great smile and crazy humor, his love of sports, music, fishing, books, cooking, and his zest for life - these are the things about this dynamic man that I will remember for the rest of my life.
With love,
Connie

Aunt Jenny and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hadn't seen Uncle Bob in so long...this is so unfortunate. He was such a good man and touched all of our lives. I know that God will look after him, and in turn, he will look over you and the family forever. Please let me know if there's anything that I can do to help you or the family during this time.
My prayers are with you all.

Bob,In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will miss you always. Mark was always happy to have you as a room buddy when you went hunting. He always had positive things to say about you. You were always the one at a get together, to come put your arm around me and ask how I was doing. For that I thank you. I will always remember the wonderful smile you always had on your face and the sound of your warm laughter. Peace and Love

I first met Bob at the Northland sports complex in 1980. Bob was always upbeat, helpful and supportive with each and every person he came in contact with. I have not seen Bob since we relocated to Florida. My guess would be, that he would not be that much different than that day 30 years ago. It was a real honor to call him a friend. We have truly lost one of the great ones. Bob was a dedicated family man, a truly reliable and hard working business partner, fun-loving, and one of those people that made everyone feel like they had a special friendship with him. I have never heard one person say a negative word about Bob - everyone thought he was such a great guy. And he was. I will miss stopping in one of Creek Hill's model homes to see Bob, hear what's new, and see that big smile. I can't count how many times I saw him driving through one of the new developments with Bobby and Ally in the car. He was so proud of his four kids and spoke of them so often I felt like I knew all of them well. I know the one thing that is most important to Bob is for his kids to know how much he loved them, how much he would wish he could be there for them, and how much he would want all of his friends and family to tell his kids for years to come, for the rest of their lives, how much their dad loved them.

Bob, you will be missed by all you touched. We love you.

April 3, 2010

My prayers are with all of the Moore family. Bob was such a great friend and always had time to give a hug and help in any way he could. We all have lost a gem.

To know Bob Moore was to love Bob Moore! How could you not think Bob Moore wasn't the GREATEST GUY there was? It feels so unfair that he is no longer here. I want to express my deepest sympathy to his children Marnie, Peter, Bobby and Ally. You were the biggest joy of his life. I've known Bob for more than 25 years and there was never anything more important to him or he was more proud of than his children. You were so fortunate to have him as a father, he adored each one of you. I'm so sorry that he left you far too early. I am sure you were the very last thought he had and I know his deepest regret would be the pain the he knew this would cause you.

I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to see him recently and reconnect. It does not seem real that he is gone. I feel angry that such a wonderful person was taken from people who need him and love him far too soon.

Bob, until we meet again. With love and affection - your friend, D

A man's man, and a completely evolved one. Float-planing into Canada for walleye. Cranking Neil Young after one of your culinary creations, laughing & drinking red wine from the cellar 'til our teeth turned grey. You made an impact on us all, brother. You leave a hole in our hearts, Big Fish Bob, but also a lasting legacy in your beautiful children, and in the many lives you've touched. Loved by many, you will be sorely missed, and never forgotten.

Bob will be missed by so many. He was just a great person to know in business and also to count as a friend. Bob somehow remembered something special about each life that he touched, and found a common ground with that person.
Real Estate, his family, sports, reading, good wine, music... Bob had many loves and many interests. We will all miss you.

For all of his son Pete's friends, Bob was an easygoing, fun-loving role model. Some of our best high school memories are the result of his kindness and generosity; going to St. Paul Saints games or just hanging out at his place. Whether it was his First Ave rock concert stories or the Neil Young records on his wall, he showed us that being cool has no age limit. We will miss you, Bob-O. Long may you run.

Mere words cannot express the grief we ALL feel here at Edina realty Plymouth office for the family of Bob.Working w/ Bob for 20+ years was truly an honor. I always admired his success. He was beyond humble & magnetized everyone he met. I built my home with him in 1991 & loved working with him through every detail. His enthusiasm for his kids was truly his #1 success in life! He consistently showed his "faith in action" & was beyond a loyal man to all he loved! He has always felt more like family than a friend. He made a difference in every life he touched and there will be a huge black hole in ALL our hearts, as are with yours. The world would be a much better place if more people were truly and consistently more like Bob. God Bless and keep you all.I am confident you will all live out his legacy and continue to make him beam with great pride. You were ALL his pride and joy!!!
Much love,
Cathy Berzins
