BROOKLET, Ga. -- Daniel Smith, age 41, passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday morning, November 30, 2018.
He was a native of Boston, Mass., but had relocated to Brooklet several years ago. He attended Opened Door Worship Center, Metter, Ga., was a graduate of Snowden International School, Boston, Mass., and last employed at Midtown Bar & Grille.
He is survived by his mother, Eula Smith, Brooklet; two sisters, Bernice Joiner, Brooklet; and Patricia, Boston, Mass.; two brothers, Leo Joiner, Brooklet; and Rodney, Boston, Mass.; special aunt, Cora Lee Roberson, husband, J.C., Glennville, Ga.; and seven other aunts, Minnie Lee Joiner, Statesboro; Elizabeth Colman, Betty J. Edwards, Ellie Charley, Ora Johnson, all of Boston, Mass.; and Brenda Oshodin and Eola Turner, both of Tampa, Fla.; seven uncles, Allen Daughtry, Boston, Mass.; Walstien Daughtry, Melbourne, Fla.; Brantley Johnson, Brooklet; Eugene Smith, Percy Smith, Caleb Smith and Jonathan Smith, all of Tampa, Fla.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at noon at City of David with the pastor, Minister Lisa Deloach, as eulogist. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will begin at noon on Friday and the family will receive family and friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
