BROOKLET-DENMARK - Mrs. Juanita Hagins Waters, age 86, died peacefully at her home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice July 18, 2011. She was born in Bulloch County, GA and lived her entire life in the Brooklet-Denmark Community as a homemaker. She graduated from Brooklet High School in 1942. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 46 years, Lester F. Waters, Sr and her parents, Willie Allen and Sula Davis Hagins of the Denmark Community, her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys H. and Gibson D. Waters of Augusta Ga.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law; Laufane W. Brannen, Brooklet-Denmark, Ga., Rhonwyn W. and Charles Rossman of Westminster, CO, and LaJuan W. and Wayman L. Lanier of the Bay District of Bulloch County, Ga.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lester Franklin Waters, Jr., of Statesboro, Ga. and Russell Allen and Lori Sharpe Waters of the Brooklet-Denmark Community.
Surviving grandchildren are; Trina R and Tony Smith of Savannah, Ga., Gavin and Amber Rossman, Colorado Springs, CO, Delanie, Lacie and Andrew Lanier of the Bay District Community, Bulloch County, Ga., Shae W. and Chris Williams, of Portal, Ga., Shonna W. Cancatti of Statesboro, Ga., and Grandsons Russ, Reid, Riley, and Ramsey Waters of the Brooklet-Denmark Community. She is also survived by great grandchildren Leila and Cora Smith of Savannah, Ga., Meghan and Mason Cancatti of Statesboro, Ga. and Madison Williams, of Portal, Ga. She is also survived by one nephew Bill Waters of Augusta, Ga., two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Maxanne W. Smith of Hilton Head, SC and Mildred and Elder John S. Mikell of Statesboro, Ga.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Randy Waters and Keith Hamilton officiating.
Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons; Andrew Lanier, Gavin Rossman, Russ, Reid, Riley Ramsey Waters and Tony Smith.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the
American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, and Ogeechee Area Hospice.
