Grace Pavliska Young Grace Pavliska Young of Round Rock, Texas lost her courageous battle with breast cancer July 9, 2013. Grace was born to Louis and Marcella Cmerek Pavliska of Granger, Texas on April 1, 1939. Grace is survived by her daughter Deborah Young and Harry Starkey; sisters Nancie Roddy, Tracie Svehlak and husband James; nephews Christopher Roddy and wife Stacy, Joe Roddy, III and wife Carol and Jordan Svehlak along with great nephew Dylan Roddy and great niece India Roddy. After graduating from Blinn College with a degree in nursing, Grace spent 20 years working in the medical profession. She then pursued a career as a commercial real estate broker and in that 30 years Grace was a member and ambassador of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Williamson County Board of Realtors, the Women's Council of Realtors, Austin Retail Marketing Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, CCIM founding member, and sat on the board of Directors of the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, and the Austin Board of Realtors. She was a past president of the Women's Council of Realtors, the Commercial Investment Division of the Williamson County Board of Realtors and past president of the Governing Board of the Austin Board of Realtors. She was also involved with the WBCO Meals on Wheels Program, an ambassador for Faith in Action Senior Access through St. John Vianney Catholic Church, and president of the Round Rock Community Garden Club. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WBCO Meals on Wheels, Round Rock or Faith in Action Senior Access, Round Rock. Visitation will be on Friday, July 12th at Beck Funeral Home, 15709 Ranch Road 620, Austin, from 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 3201 Sunrise Road, Round Rock with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Granger, Texas.

Such courage, generosity and, yes, grace, it was a privilege to be in Grace's presence for even a brief time. My prayers are with her beloved family and all those who love her. She will be dearly missed in this world where she made a difference through her spirit.

Our condolences to the family. We knew Grace through her involvement with the building committee at St John Vianney Parish. She was such a vibrant lady and will be missed.
