John Fisher Obituary

John Henry Fisher John Henry Fisher, 83, of Gonzales, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. Born Friday, Jan 13, 1930, John now rejoins his parents, the former John and Catherine Fisher of Lansdowne, Md. Their only child was also preceded in death by Terry Lynn, his first born daughter, and Aiden Perez, his only great-grandchild. John served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring to run the Leander Texaco station. He was then a Sears repairman, retiring permanently in 1991 to pursue his personal interests of boating, golfing, dancing, playing cribbage, and watching classic movies. John leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Ida DeCola Fisher; children, Jon Robert Fisher, Donna Fisher Osborne and son-in-law Ty Meighan, Laurie Fisher Preece, Randal Lee Fisher and daughter-in-law De'Anne Fisher, Jim DeCola and daughter-in-law Debbie DeCola, and Rita Hobbs and son-in-law Bill. He also leaves his grandchildren behind: Candra Preece, Skye and Wade Smith, Katie and James Dryer, Lucas Preece, and Conner, Sawyer, and Parker Fisher. Family and friends are invited for lunch and a celebration of John's life at noon on Saturday, May 18, at the Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Dr. in Round Rock.
