Elsa Leigh Casillas Elsa Leigh Casillas, 52, of Pflugerville, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was born July 20, 1960 in Victoria to the late Lydia Lopez Rocha and Frank Casillas of Victoria. She was a Catholic and a school teacher in Pflugerville. She is survived by her father, stepmother Irma Casillas of Victoria; daughter, Alyssa Casillas-Michel of Pflugerville; sister, Amanda Casillas of Pflugerville; brothers, Frank Casillas Jr., Jason Casillas, Marcus Casillas, and Michael Casillas of Victoria; She is preceded in death by her mother; brother, Arthur Lee Casillas; and grandparents Luis Lopez, Adelaida Lopez, Carmen Valderrama, Eusebio Casillas, and Marcos Casillas. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 9 - 10 a.m. before a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Casillas, Jr., Jason Casillas, Marcus Casillas, Michael Casillas, Amanda Casillas, Shawn Waters, and David Cantu. Elsa was a dedicated teacher who worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of the children she taught. Her amazing spirit will be missed by many. Heartfelt prayers for the family...especially for her beautiful and sweet daughter Alyssa.

I am so saddened to hear of Elsa's passing. My heart breaks for her sweet daughter. We knew Elsa just briefly while playing softball in Pflugerville she was the assistant coach on our daughters team. Such a sweet lady gone too soon! Prayers to this family you have a sweet angel to watch over you!

Miss. Casillas was my sons pre-k teacher . we carry fond memories of her . Miss Casillas was a truly gifted teacher and such a sweet and caring person.
