Mary Ross "Mother of Phara" Mary Ross, 96, of Austin, TX formerly of Tyrone, PA, died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Mary was born on November 13, 1916 in Tyrone, PA and was preceded in death by her husband, David Ross in 2002. Mary lived the past 4 years in Austin, TX with her daughter, Jeanette Friedman, AKA: Phara and husband, Jerry. Also surviving Mary are her daughter, Judith Ann Vyhonsky and husband, Bill of Maryland; son, David F. Ross of Tyrone, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Mary was a fixture at her daughter Jeanette's restaurant, Phara's Mediterranean Restaurant where she greeted customers while folding napkins and playing cards. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2013.at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
