Georg Williams Obituary

Georg Champlin Williams Georg Champlin Williams, died on May 31, 2012 in Austin, TX. He was born on January 2,1953, the son of Estelle Gay Williams Reese of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and the late Benny George Williams of Houma, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lee Williams Garrard and survived by his sisters Jennifer Williams, Betsy Williams Cadle, Jacqueline Williams Gillman, and brothers Ted Williams and Walter Williams. A loving and devoted father, he moved from the New Orleans area to Austin to live, work, and play with his daughters, Katherine Williams and Sarah Williams, in 2006. Georg's daughters would describe their experience growing up with him as "magical" because his creativity and resourcefulness made every day an adventure. Georg made a living doing what he loved; painting, and captured the hearts of many pet owners around the world with his humorous pet portraits. In his spare time, Georg enjoyed exploring Austin with family, watching movies, playing guitar, and the companionship of his Corgi dog, Bogart. Georg's love was far reaching, and he will be deeply missed by many.
