Charles Cleveland Hipp Charles Cleveland Hipp Was born October 7, 1930 in Gilmer County Georgia. He left East Ellijay at age 17 and joined the Air Force, proudly serving in the Korean War and eventually ending up in Austin at Bergrstrom AFB. This is where he met the love of his life, Margaret Gold. They married in March 1953, raising two children and living in South Austin for 45 years. He retired from South Union Gas after 45 years of service and relocating in Llano to be close to his children and granddaughters. Charles and Margaret have had a lot of great times together with many dear friends, some who have passed before him and some that still live on to remember those times. He will fondly be remembered with his rendition of "In My Adobe Hacienda" and the saying "Here We Go". Charles is survived by his adoring wife, Margaret Hipp of Llano; son David Hipp (Rhonda Wyatt) of Austin; daughter, Karen Houston (Richard Leyendecker) of Llano and 3 granddaughters that where the apple of his eye, Rea-Lynn Hipp (Stephen Wells) of San Antonio, Haley Houston (Pete Ugarte) of Round Rock and Randi Rodriguez of Austin. Brother Jimmy Hipp (Mary Lou) of Ellijay, Georgia., Many nieces and nephews of Georgia that he adored. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel with Johnny Sawyer officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Llano City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bubba Wolf, Joe Wells, Wesley Williams, Cecil Billings, Thomas Shull and Gary Delz. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion in Llano. Funeral arrangements made under the direction of Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes, Inc. Llano, Texas.
