Esther Louise Loke Esther Louise Loke of Santa Fe, Texas in Galveston County passed away on July 20, 2013 at Barton Hills Assisted Living in Austin, Texas after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Uvalde, Texas in 1938, the only daughter of Edwin Anderson and Eunice Hensarling Anderson. Mrs. Loke was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years and 11 months, Richard Allen Loke of Santa Fe, Texas. Mrs. Loke leaves two daughters Karen Loke of Austin and Lynnelle Moore of San Antonio. She also enjoyed the company of her five grandchildren, Tommy Moore (20), Eli Gray (18), Dana Moore (17), Joey Moore (16), and Matthew Moore (11). Mrs. Loke earned a nursing degree from the University of Texas at Galveston and worked as an emergency room nurse at John Sealy Hospital. After her career, she started the Emergency Medical Service in Santa Fe, Texas and worked closely with the local fire departments. Her daughters often served as dispatch operators for emergency calls while their mother helped people at all hours of the day and night. She was a master gardener, winning many awards for her landscaping and flower arrangements. She adored all her animals - horses, cats, and dogs Scooter and Blue. And she was an artist of all sorts. Her service will be August 3 at 2pm, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704.
