August Peterson Obituary

August Herman Peterson August Herman Peterson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, departed on January 17, 2010, aged 91 years. Born September 16, 1918, August served honorably in the United States Navy from 1941 until 1945, serving a portion of that time in the O.S.S. He worked for Behrens Pharmaceuticals in Austin, Texas, moving to Walden, Texas in 1985. A Deacon and founding member of Walden Community Church, August was also a proud member of the Montgomery Philosophical Society. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Dickey Peterson of Walden; sons Robert Dickey Peterson, M.D., and Gary Stephen Peterson of Houston; brother Adolf Luther Peterson, sister Rosa Pauline Peterson of Round Rock, Texas; granddaughter Holly Christine Peterson of Houston and New York; daughter-in-law Cathleen Elizabeth Peterson of Houston and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded by his parents, Luther August and Rosie Carlota Peterson, sister Hulda Peterson and brothers Walter and George Peterson. Services shall be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 22 at the Walden Community Church, 12400 Walden Road, Montgomery, Texas, burial to follow at Klein Memorial Park, F.M. 2920, Klein, Texas. Arrangements by Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379 (281) 320-2674.
