ROHE, Bruce Bruce Rohe of Pflugerville, Texas left this life on September 13, 2018 after a struggle with cancer. He will be deeply missed. Bruce Elliott Rohe was born in Alice, Texas on June 24, 1952 to Beverly and Gordon Rohe. He attended public schools in Houston, Texas and two years in the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon. After returning to Houston, he graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston. He studied at Texas A&M University and Lamar University, and spent a short time in the Merchant Marines. He began his career as a draftsman at Fluor Corporation in Houston but his main career was as a construction inspector for Texas Department of Transportation in Austin from 1985 to 2010. After retirement, he dedicated his love and time to his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved traveling the world, and was particularly fond of cruising. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Sutherland Rohe, three children Kenneth (Hillary) Rohe, Vanessa (Jeff) Barbour, and John Damon Rohe and four grandchildren, Emma, Evan, Robertson and Blair. He is also survived by his brothers Roark (Cindy) Rohe and Duke Rohe, his aunt Frances (RW) Pratt and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on September 22nd, 2018 at 2 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 511 E. Pflugerville Parkway, Pflugerville, Texas.
