Hon. William Randolph "Randy" Savage
Meadowlakes - The Honorable William Randolph "Randy" Savage, age 76, of Meadowlakes, Texas, joined his heavenly Father on Sunday, February 7, 2021, in Temple, Texas. Randy was born on March 2, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska to his parents William Clifford "Jim" Savage and Nelda Leila Steward Savage, who preceded him in death. He was raised in Houston, Texas, graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1962, attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History & Economics. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at the University of Texas Law School in Austin, in 1969. On June 9, 1967, Randy and Kathy married in Houston, Texas, at St. Luke's Methodist Church. Together, they raised four wonderful sons. Randy served as an attorney in Marble Falls for 30 years before becoming the first elected Burnet County Court at Law Judge, a position that he proudly and capably held for 12 years. In addition, he held many leadership roles in the community and was a member of numerous professional and nonprofessional organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathryn Pryor Alger Savage, and his sons and their families: Michael and Laura Savage and children Palmer, Sarah, and Ryan; Greg and Erin Savage and children Lauren and Faye; Jeffrey Savage and children Poppy and Tom; and Robert Savage. He's also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Savage Fletcher, her husband Michael C. Fletcher and their family.
Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Clement Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls (830-693-4341), 1101 Bluebonnet Dr., Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
