Norman WEISS Obituary
WEISS, Norman E. God took Norman E. Weiss, 88, of Pflugerville to his heavenly home on June 11, 2018. He was born in Pflugerville on January 12, 1930. Norman graduated from Pflugerville High School in 1947. He married the love of his life, Virginia (Israel) Weiss, November 11, 1951. After serving in the Marine Corps for 2 years, he returned home for a dedicated career as a farmer and rancher, where he was the best weatherman around. He was a baptized, confirmed, and lifetime member of Immanuel Church. He enjoyed watching sports, pampering his dog, Raisin, and spending time with family and loved ones. When he could no longer do the farm work himself, he continued to supervise his children to make sure the job was done right. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia, of 67 years, and three caring children, Keith (Durenda), Gordon (Betty), and Wendy; along with 6 grandchildren, Kevin (Katie) Weiss, Brandi (Paul) Suddeth, Nicole (Jason) Valdez, Heather Byrd, Lindsey (Mike) Scheffler, and Candie Marquis; 11 great grandchildren; a devoted sister, Shirley and husband Otto Werchan; and very dear and loving friend, Kayla Bayless. Norman was predeceased by parents, Marie and Ewald Weiss, his sister, Margie and her husband, Ernest Cherry. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be Friday, June 15th at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with committal following in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Cemetery Fund or Building Fund of Immanuel Lutheran Church, 500 Immanuel Road, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
