There is no visitation or viewing scheduled at Rosser Funeral Home. Paul Allen Rader passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in El Campo, Texas on July 7, 1958, the son of Audrey (Quick) and Clifford Rader. Paul married Francine Rasberry on January 1, 1980 in Austin, Texas, where they met Christ, and each other, through Young Life. He was a maintenance supervisor for 25 years with Sachem, and an active member of Cleburne Bible Church. Paul loved his Lord and his family. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and being outside in God's creation. His favorite times were those spent with family and his many friends. Paul's servant's heart was apparent in his service to others, here at home and through his participation in several mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico. He always lent a hand to anyone who needed it. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ted Rader. He is survived by his wife, Fran Rader; son, Justin Rader, both of Cleburne; daughters, Abbie Thornton and husband, Casey, of Fort Bragg, NC, Audrey Rader and Kathleen Rader, both of Cleburne; brothers, Gary Rader and wife, Brenda, of Boston, MA and Johnny Rader and wife, Diana, of Austin; sisters, Patricia Navarro and husband, Jesse, of Ignacio, CO and Bobbie Davis and husband, Lee, of Magnolia, TX. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Guatemala Bible Seminary, c/o Rafael Vargas, P.O. Box 526150, Miami, FL 33152 or to Young Life Austin, P.O. Box 204264, Austin, TX 78720-4264. Rosser Funeral Home, 1664 W. Henderson St. Cleburne, Texas 76033 817-641-4800

Dear Fran,

Melissa and I were shocked and saddened at the news of Paul's passing. He is one of the people I remember from elementary school. I am sorry too that our lives have taken us apart-- I was looking forward to the next reunion to see Paul and you and others from our school days. We will pray for you and Paul and your family.

Fran, I am so sorry for your loss. Although it has been many years since I have seen either of you sometimes it seems like just the other day. I have fond memories of you both. You and your family are in my toughest and prayers.

I feel honored to have met and known Paul. While our exchanges were usually brief, the very sight of him walking into the clinic or sitting reading in the waiting area always made my day brighter. There was something about him that made me feel a true joy just being in his calm presence. Having had a glimpse of your devotion to him I know I have witnessed a great love, friendship and example of what a marriage is supposed to be. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Fran, I just heard. I am so sorry. I am so grateful to have known Paul even though we haven't seen one another in years. May God comfort, hold, and provide all you need. And one day, we will all worship at Jesus' feet - and the only tears will be of joy. God mercies,

Paul is one of the most loving, joy-filled souls I’ve ever had the honor of calling my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May you find comfort in knowing heaven is filled with celebration as Paul is welcomed back home (what a time he must be having!). I love you, Fran, with all my heart. Wishing I could be there.
