Pauline Hirschfeld Obituary

Pauline Hirschfeld Pauline Hirschfeld, age 94, of Austin, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. She was born to Bella and Moses Simon in Wellington, Kansas October 22, 1914. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and over the years became a very charitable and gracious lady. She enjoyed music, years of ballroom dancing, swimming, reading, and playing the piano for her family. She and her husband Louis traveled extensively including a trip around the world. She also helped Louis start their printing business The Lithoprint Co. in 1939. Pauline appreciated fine art and artifacts that were displayed in various museums she visited. She was a member of the PTA, Temple Beth Israel, and a life member of Hadassah. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joel L. Simon, sisters-in- law Lena Simon, Dorothy Hirschfeld, and brother- in-law Sam Hirschfeld. She is survived by her husband, Louis L. Hirschfeld; daughter, Teresa Friedman and husband Lenny; son, M. Brent Hirschfeld; grandchildren, David and Laurie Friedman, Michael and Missy Friedman and Kenny Friedman; great- grandchildren, Becca Friedman, Adam Friedman, Evan Friedman and Katie Friedman; nieces and nephews, Steve Simon, Barbara and Michael Bierner, Mark and Angelica Simon. A memorial service was held at the family's home on Thursday, November 6, 2008. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
