SNYDER, Richard Neil Richard Neil Snyder, loving husband, father and grandfather entered heaven on December 29th, 2018 after a long battle cancer. Richard "Dick" was born in Webster City, Iowa November 3rd 1944 to Margret and Richard Snyder. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Candy Snyder; his son Jeremy Snyder and daughter Sierra Snyder Elcock; his sister Suzy Bailey and 5 grandchildren, Kaleb, Lila, Zackariah, Jack and Savanah. Dick had a unique childhood mostly spent overseas in India and South Africa. He attended Ohio State University and Southern Illinois University graduating with a degree in Biology. He later completed his MBA at St. Mary's college. Dick worked for Hewlett Packard from 1973-1995 where he was responsible for the success of the DeskJet printer. In 1995 Dell computers wooed Dick away from the West coast to Austin, Texas where he and Candy have called home for the past 23 years. In addition to Dell, he spent time with Compaq, Forgent and Assure Software. Dick was a devoted family man and incredible man of faith. He taught many, not just by his words, but also by his leadership. He enjoyed mentoring others both in business and bible study. Dick had an infectious smile that could turn anyone's day around. We know that smile is even more infectious shining down from above. A Memorial Service will be held January 19th at 1pm at Austin Ridge Bible Church.
