W. Roberts Obituary


Family-Placed Obituary

W. Jiles Roberts, a long time Buchanan Dam Attorney passed away on July 20, 2004, at the age of 86 years. He was born on October 6, 1917, in Arena, Jackson County, Mississippi. After moving to Texas prior to World War II, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1945. He practiced law in Houston and Buchanan Dam, Texas, until 1998. He was a charter member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and a vigorous advocate for his clients. He was a devoted husband and wonderful father to his three children. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Roberts, of Tomball. He is also survived by his three children and their families: Beverly Wilson and her husband, Bill of Tomball, Kirby Roberts and wife, Susan of Brownwood, Texas, and Maurice Roberts and wife, Erika of Houston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bill Wilson, Katherine Ricketts, Benjamin Roberts, Darla McKenna, Kent Fleming, Marley Roberts and Reese Roberts. His surviving great grandchildren are Hannah Wilson, Weston and Jeremy Graham, and Colton and Dalton McKenna. Visitation 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday Klein Funeral Home, Tomball. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
