Christopher Paul David Davis Christopher Paul David Davis, so full of life and love and kindness, died tragically on Sept. 28, 2008, while riding his beloved bicycle in E. Austin. Born in Dallas, Feb. 27, 1976, Chris graduated in 1994 from Brookfield High School in Ottawa, Canada, where he was the captain of his rugby and football teams. In 1999 he graduated with a B.A. in English from UT-Austin. He worked for the Canadian Indian Affairs Dept until he returned to Austin where he managed a Trudy's Restaurant. Chris was lead singer and guitar player in the Austin band, We Dream in Daylight. He loved music and concerts, movies and films. Always hungry for knowledge, Chris read voraciously. Writing was one of his passions. Chris loved his family and many friends. He is predeceased by his aunt Libby Boone and three grandparents: Harvey Leo Davis, Elaine (Vickery) and Anibal Fernandez- Davila. Survivors include his mother, Anne (Fernandez-Davila) Davis of Ottawa; his father, Harvey Lee Davis; and stepmother, Gayle Hudgens; his brother, Robert Michael Alan Davis of Ottawa; his step-siblings, Amy Logan and Hal Watson, III; his grandmother, Betty X. Davis; his uncles and aunts, David and Pablo Fernandez-Davila, Mark, Clayton, and Talbot Davis, Nancy Labastida, Virginia Palmer, and Charlotte Seifert; and many cousins and friends. Wake will be on Wed., Oct. 1 at Trudy's on 30th Street at 5:00 p.m. Memorial service will be on Thurs., Oct. 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Phillips Upshaw & Richard Funeral Home on E. 12th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
