Courtney Paige Griffin Courtney Paige Griffin was born on February 28, 1981 in Austin, Texas. Courtney went to Barton Hills Elementary School, O'Henry Middle School and graduated from Austin High School in 1999. Her life came to a tragic end on May 27, 2011. Courtney was an artist that loved music, animals of all kinds and her city, Austin, Texas. Courtney was entrepreneurial. She worked for some of the most amazing families that trusted her and loved her. She particularly loved being a nanny and caring for animals. She loved the children and pets she cared for and they loved her. Courtney was always the life of the party with a great sense of humor and a strong opinion on many subjects. The passionate discussions will be missed. Courtney was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Robert E. Leach, whom she loved with all of her heart and who will be welcoming "Sis" with a mighty hug. Courtney is survived by her family and many friends who loved her very much. Her dog Blaize and her cat Basil. Her father Bart Griffin, mother Kelly Griffin, her siblings Chandler Griffin and her fiancé Austin Raymond, Cramer Griffin, Lesli Love, Jaret Lane and Kayla Schultz and her husband Joe and their three daughters. She is also survived by her grandparents, Bo and Jo Griffin and Billie Leach and many aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a celebration of Courtney's life on Monday.

Courtney was one of my best friends in the whole world. We were attached at the hip in high school. I was thinking about her yesterday as we had grown apart. I just found out about this tragedy this morning. My heart hurts. I love you family. I love you Court!

I can't believe this. I played WWF with her. We lost contact and I was doing one of those Google searches because her user name was her WWF name. We had great conversations and I can't believe she is gone. She was unique and different and just by talking to her, you could tell that she had a big heart. She was beautiful.

Our thougts are with the Griffin and Leach family during this time please know that Courtney blessed each of us. "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."

Courtney didn't waste a minute of her life. As her mother, Laurie Griffin said, "Courtney was on a mission! Sleeping just wasn't part of it because she had so much to get done, and didn't want to miss out on anything!" Boy is that true! Courts loved life and every living thing on earth. In her thirty years, she did many amazing things and left a magical imprint on every soul she met. "Corky", now your life really will go on, forever, so while we know you will be a busy bee up there, don't forget to rest a little from time to time. Give Grandpa an enormous hug and kiss! We love you! Love, LINA

You were a magical breath of fresh air every time I saw you. Your adventuresome nature, love and caring for the weaker ones, and your one-of-a-kind personality was always in evidence. Everybody should have a friend like you at some point in their life. Goodbye Courtney. Goodbye and bless the lucky child who will have you as their guardian angel.

•What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

You were one of my daughters' numerous friends that I had the pleasure of knowing. I was so impressed with your sense of what was right and wrong, your individualism, and your absolute zest for life. I always looked forward to seeing you and the time you stayed at my house is a wonderful memory. You will be missed by so many people in and outside of Austin. I know I will count myself as a lucky person for having you touch my life and heart. Goodbye Courtney. Goodbye and God bless the lucky person who will get you as their guardian angel.
