While working at that department, Chris earned his Master Peace Officer license and became a TCLEOSE Instructor in 2006. He enjoyed supervising and training other officers and strived to maintain a level of professionalism. He received the Chief's Recognition Award in 2011, the Meritorious Unit Citation and the Meritorious Service Medal in December of 2012.
