Tyler John HENNINGER Obituary

Tyler John Henninger, beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend, departed this earthly life on Monday, May 12, 2014.

His Lord and Savior blessed his family with his birth in Austin, Texas on August 10, 1994 and was joyfully welcomed by his parents Lynne Ballman and John Henninger, and big brother Trey Henninger. Tyler became a member of God's family through his baptism when he was one month old and was confirmed in the Christian faith at age 13 at Christ Lutheran Church.

He attended Mills Elementary and Small Middle Schools, graduated from Bowie High School in 2013, and was enrolled in Austin Community College. From preschool through middle school, he was a natural athlete and played various sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. He was artistically talented and loved to draw and paint at a young age. He was proud of his German heritage.

He loved going to the beach with his mom and brother, and fishing and going to movies with his dad. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends, especially best friend, Ian Lavin, since the beginning of his elementary school years.

He liked playing video, board, and card games with friends and family, especially competing and challenging his big brother. He also enjoyed talking to his brother about video games, watching movies and anime. He liked watching the SyFi, Discovery, and History channels. He had worked various jobs, including being a lifeguard for the City of Austin.

He is survived by his mother, father, older brother, paternal grandmother, Martha Henninger, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Cecil Henninger, Sr., maternal grandparents, Earl and Emma Ballman, and his uncle Don Ballman.

The family will receive friends 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 3701 W. Slaughter Lane. Burial will follow the service at Forest Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery.
