It's the anniversary of my Mother's birth today.....I am having a hard time trying to think of what to say....
It's Mary,Mom..I think of you every day and miss you every moment. You always knew exactly what to say to make me feel better....I wish you were here now to guide me, even though I'll be 60 yrs. old in just a few years....you would be proud of your Granddaughter Katy Rose, and you would absolutely love your Great Grandson Johnny....thanks to you,I'm able to look at the paintings with our family members who are gone as well.
I love you Mom,And I didn't forget you on Mother's day or your Birthday...I just wanted you to know....Mary

For some reason my remembrance of Rosemary disappeared while I was in the middle of writing it, so I will try again. She was my dearest friend for 36 years and even now, a year after her passing, I can't believe she is gone. Not only was she a great artist, she was a wonderful cook, an animal lover, and one of the kindest people I've ever met. She was devoted to her dogs -- Hogan, the four Scotties and Danny -- and her heart broke every time one passed away. I spent so many Thanksgivings and Christmases at her home on West Eleventh Street that I lost count a long time ago. Thanksgiving was the big one, the house overflowing with family, friends and the best food you've ever tasted. God bless you, dear. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you.

She was my dear friend and my teacher. The sweetest person I have ever met in my life. I will remember her forever. I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful painting with the sweetest dedication to me. She will always be in my heart!

She was an artist and woman from a different era. She
would have fit in nicely with the likes of Mary Sarratt
and Toulose. Her trip to Paris and other notable art centers of Europe made her that more convinced she was out of place in her world. Her forever support,John

My parents, Martha and Jack Meier loved Rosemary dearly. Jack Meier Gallery represented her art in the 70's and thereafter. On their passing, I was fortunate to inherit The Gallery Owner, a portrait of Jack Meier painted in 1979 as a Christmas gift to my parents, Cinderella I'm Not of three women trying on shoes, Girls Brushing Their Hair and a portrait of my daughter Rosemary painted in 1996. I will forever cherish Rosemary's paintings as she had such a unique way to capture the human soul in every piece. I send condolences to her family and want them to know that Rosemary has touched so many lives!

I owe The Races at Fredericksburg and love the warmth it has brought me for nearly thirty years. Thank you Rosemary. You will be missed.
