Carl O. PINGRY III Obituary
Carl O. Pingry III died July 8, 2016 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Yellowstone National Park. He was born on February 17, 1935 in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and wife. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Pingry of Ferdinand, IN.

Carl became a systems engineer for IBM in Lexington, KY, France, and Austin, TX where he worked more than 33 years.

Upon retirement, Carl dedicated countless hours to the Settlement Home, the AGE Computer Lab, the Computer Club of Austin, and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. He was an avid photographer and on at least one occasion photographed Lady Bird Johnson for her annual Christmas card.

Active until his death, Carl was a sailor, skier, and scuba diver. A celebration of his life will be held on August 15 from 1 - 3:30 pm at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
