MARSHALL, Alcie Alcie "Al" Marshall, 79, passed away peacefully August 1, 2017. He retired from the Texas Workforce Commission, State of Texas, with 35 yrs and Building Service Deptartment, City of Austin, with 41 yrs. Table tennis was his passion. He was a lifetime member of The Austin Table Tennis Club. He played professionally throughout the State of Texas winning many trophies, medals, and awards. He is preceded in death by his parents Eddie Sr. and Josephine Clemons Marshall; son Curtis Daryl; and daughter Miriam Ruth Marshall. He leaves behind his loving wife Mary Helen Soriano-Marshall; sons Minister Don Alcie, Eric (Janet), and Kenneth Marshall; daughters Chandra Henson (Perro), Terri Marshall (Pastor William Phillips), Mekeshia Marshall, and Meleah Simons (Brad); step-children Sheree Patterson (Whalon), Ashley Lozano (Jacob), David (Debra), and Moses Self (Jina); brothers Eddie Jr. (Ruby) and George Marshall; and sisters Betty Pennick (D.W) and Ruthie Price (Ernest). Service will be held at Angel Funeral Home, 1600 S. 1st St., at 7:00pm on August 3, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at Christian Life Church, 4700 West Gate, at 1:00 on August 4, 2017 followed by internment at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 IH 35 S.
