BORGH, Carl Alan Carl Alan Borgh, age 70, died after a battle with cancer on August 22, 2017 in Georgetown, Texas. Carl is survived by his step-daughters Shari French and Stephanie BaDour; his grandsons Thomas and Sam BaDour; his Son In Law Brian BaDour; his sister Claudia Cole, and his brothers Brian, Ken, John and Ed Borgh. He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Sharon Borgh, his parents Carl and Madelyenne Borgh, his oldest sister Donna, and his oldest brother Jim. Carl "Chuck" was born on May 21, 1947 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, number 6 out of 8 kids. He was in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 1974. Following college he moved to Arizona, then Texas where he worked at IBM until his retirement. He was also a volunteer officer for the Georgetown Police Department for several years. Carl was a great family man, a loving father and a devoted grandfather. He married Sharon in 1986, taking on her two teen daughters as if they were his own. He was a strong man who held deep convictions and was not afraid to let others know how he felt. He enjoyed his grandsons more than anything in the world and was very proud of them. He taught them math skills like no one else could. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny, kind, right to the point, very smart, and unique guy. Many say he could be "rough around the edges" and gruff on the outside, but a kind, generous, and gentle soul underneath. A visitation is scheduled for 9:00 AM, followed by services at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, TX. This will be followed by a 1:00 PM burial at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX where his wife is interred. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carl's life.
