ALLEN, Yvonne "Pucci" October 27, 1926 - August 13, 2017 Yvonne "Pucci" Allen was born on October 27, 1926 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Ray Collins White and Renee Calame White. She grew up in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Highland Park High School. She attended Southern Methodist University where she met the love of her life, Bill Gordon Allen. They married on June 1, 1948 and celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage. They moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1949. Bill and Pucci ultimately started their own business, Allen Electric Supply Co., and worked side by side for many years. They eventually expanded to eight locations in three states and created a very successful business. She and Bill sold the business in 1982 and retired to The Hills of Lakeway, Texas. They enjoyed travel and golf during their retirement years together. Pucci loved to play bridge and other games with her friends. She was a member of The Hills Country Club and the Lakeway Church. Pucci was pre deceased by her husband, Bill Allen, and her daughter, Beverly Allen Cole. She is survived by her granddaughters, Casey Allene Cole and Ashley Cole McCreary, three great grandsons, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She and Bill made many friends through their business associations and their active social life. They lived life together to the fullest extent. Bill and Pucci were generous with their gifts to the local community, Southern Methodist University, and Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. The family is truly grateful to Pucci's caregivers, Cynthia Sanchez, Thedies Hutchison, Leanne Hamilton, and Kimberly Borges. They became a large part of her family and each one took loving care of her until the end. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Campbell One Room at the Doubletree Hotel, 8250 North Central Expressway, Dallas,Texas 75206. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Southern Methodist University, Lyle School of Engineering, 3101 Dyer Street, Dallas, Texas 75205, Newman University, School of Nursing, 3100 McCormick, Wichita, Kansas, 67213 or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
