My beloved Charlie, was truly a gentle man, a trait I admired so very much. I will miss him so much, especially in the evening as we enjoyed the swing and shared our day, or on the "mountain". When I am up working on the "mountain" I keep seeing you walking up the path to join me. We have so many wonderful shared memories, Ireland, Hawaii, Fredricksburg and many more. All are so precious to me. Charlie was truely my hero as he went though the most difficult illness. He never complained or said "why me". He was so brave. I'm so grateful for the years we had as husband and wife and then as best friends!He was a master communicator.You're the best Charlie!!

I Love You, Gloria

I only knew Charlie Shaw for a short time. Each time I talked with him I got a feeling of warmth. He made me laugh, he was a delight to be around.

Charlie was a joy to know and love. I loved it when he would drop by the office just to say hi - always lots of fun. I will miss his jokes and "Martha Stewart" talents. Gloria, you were *such* a blessing in his life, a gift from God. How wonderful for both of you that you shared your lives. We love you very much!

Our father was an extraordinary man;

a loving husband to our late mother

Gay, a caring and compassionate father and grandfather, and friend

to all. A ready and mighty laugh he had with a quick sence of humor. In this way he will be remembered, not glorifyingly but realistically,and sadly missed.

We will miss our dad greatly and his grandchildren will miss their grandfather! He was a wonderful man and taught everyone he met a lot about life, laughter, forgiveness, and acceptance. I know that he is in a better place with Mom and enjoying an endless cabinet of art supplies!

Charlie was the best friend and brother (and uncle) a person could have. We'll miss him greatly, but will have a good time when we join him and the rest of the family. It is an honor to have known and loved him. Sweet dreams, sweet prince.

Love,

Lin, Kris and Sara
