I can only imagine what she would say about today's current discussions in the legislature! Tactful, kind, smart, connected--just too many adjectives to describe her.

Mom- so many times over the years I wish I had your counsel and guidance. In all the years since your death I have reconciled my regrets and forgiven myself for my failures with you... I hope you do as well. I remember your love and example and hope that you are proud of me. You left such big shoes to fill I wish I had paid more attention to the lesson you were teaching. I love you and I miss you - Chris

The world of Texas nursing has lost a pioneer, a champion, and a beloved friend. I was privileged to serve with Nancy on TNA's Governmental Affairs Committee. She was wise, gracious, dedicated, and humble in all her work. My life is enriched from knowing Nancy and Texas is a better place for her leadership. My deepest sympathy to Will and family. Thanks for sharing Nancy with us.

Representative McDonald - and Nurse McDonald will be greatly missed! She was a role model for us all...and those of us who are nurses are particularly proud of her many esteemed accomplishments.

I was one of the very lucky nurses that workded with Nancey while I was on the TNA Board of Directors in the late 80's and early 90's. I will always remember her calm demeaner and how well she knew what was going on in the world of politics yet remained humble and unassuming. I extend my felt sympathy to her family and I know that Nancy is in a special seat looking down on all of us and still concerned about nursing.

My thoughts and prayers are with the McDonald family at this difficult time. Have comfort in knowing that now she is with Liz in Heaven and watching over us. She will be greatly missed.

Will and family, you are very much in my thoughts and prayers from here in Minneapolis. Nancy was a great lady, and she fought the good fight with such dignity! May all the saints and angels welcome her into Paradise. RIP.

While I was President of the Texas Nurses Association, I was so fortunate to know Representative McDonald, RN, and to present her with an award from the Texas Nurses Association. She represented El Paso, nursing and health so well. Her retirement from the House was a loss. I am sure she will be missed by her family and friends, and all of nursing.

What sad news today. My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy's family and friends.
My Mom, Lucy Salsman, worked with Nancy at Sierra Medical Center back in El Paso.

It is hard to find the words to express my sadness for your family, but at the same time, I am so thankful that my path crossed such a loving and devoted couple as Mr. & Mrs. McDonald. We should all be as fortunate to be loved as they love each other! God Bless your family.
