Bell Marie Howard passed away on October 15, 2018, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Bell was born June 12, 1920, in Coutts, Alberta, Canada. Bell came to Rathdrum, Idaho, from Coutts, Alberta, with her family when she was four years old.
Bell graduated from Rathdrum High School in 1939 and then from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.
Bell settled in with her husband and children in Colville where she was the Stevens County Public Health Nurse. She retired in 1975.
Bell enjoyed painting pictures and porcelain doll making. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. After retirement, Bell and her husband Gene split their time between Colville, Sun Up Bay on Lake Coeur d' Alene and Towerpoint in Mesa, Ariz., where they had numerous friends and many fond memories.
In 1999, Bell was preceded in death by her husband Gene of 57 years; by her parents, brothers and sisters.
Bell is survived by her son Larry (Joan) Howard, grandson Aaron and family, granddaughter Anna and great-grandsons Colton and J.J. Bell is also survived by her daughter Barbara (Delbert) Rogge, grandson Dwayne (Julie), great-grandsons (twins) Christopher and Michael, grandson Brian, great-granddaughter Brianne, grandson Steven (Ericka), and great-granddaughters Kennedy and Ryan.

Gene and Bell Howard were dear friends of my parents, Doris and Marion Bayley. They had many ties together. My parents passed away in 1999 and 2002. I remember Bell from my time in Jobs Daughters. She was a wonderful leader and affected many lives. Bless her sole.
