Marvin George Deubel passed away on September 5, 2018 at his home in Spokane. He was born to Frank and Myra (Hall) Deubel on June 14, 1940 in Sandpoint, Idaho the youngest of three children, directly following his twin brother Martin by 15 minutes. Marvin was a 12-year senior at Colville High School. Soon after graduating in 1958, the Deubel twins enlisted in the United States Coast Guard Reserves and were honorably discharged in 1964.
Marvin married Barbara Giddings in 1962. They had two sons, Daniel and Dale Deubel. They later divorced. He later married Jeannie Hunter and had a son, Marvin Deubel, Jr.
Marv spent many years driving beer delivery truck for Len Pulliam Distributing and Virgil Forth Distributing in Colville. He moved to Spokane in 1990.
Marvin and Barbara (Welch) had known each other and played together when she was seven and he was ten. They dated in high school and went their separate ways when he entered the United States Coast Guard and she moved to North Carolina. In 2001, Barbara and daughter Patty moved back to Spokane where Marvin and Barbara were reunited and married June 22, 2001.
Marvin was outgoing, lovable, kind hearted and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing, playing games and watching sports. He was a wonderful story teller, possibly embellishing the truth when it made the story better.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Myra Deubel, sister Leona Lane, step-daughter Patty, brother-in-law Ralph Lane Sr., and niece Patricia Lane.
Marvin is survived by his wife Barbara (Welch) Deubel, sons Daniel Deubel, Dale Deubel (Debbie), Marvin Deubel, Jr. (Christina); grandchildren Bradly Deubel (Samantha), Patrick Deubel; Justene Deubel (Jamie), Vincent Deubel; great-grandchildren Teddy, Emberlee, Elliott, Silas and Violet; twin brother Martin Deubel, Sr. (Sharyl); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private celebration of Marvin's life will be held.
Marvin will be remembered fondly and missed by many. Rest in peace, until we see you again.

So Sad, Martin! Too early! As kids we had a lot of good times in the 50's - before my family bailed for Canada.
