Elaine Clipfell Hadley

April 24, 1926 - February 22, 2014

Elaine Clipfell Hadley went to be with the Lord after losing her battle with metastatic breast cancer on February 22, 2014. She was born on April 24, 1926, to George Robinson Clipfell and Edith Frances Corey Clipfell in Los Angeles, CA. The family moved to Oregon in 1935. She lived most of her childhood in the Lyons/Mill City area. Elaine worked for the State of Oregon for many years. She volunteered with the Red Cross for 26 years. She attended and helped build the Rolling Hills Baptist Church in south Salem. Elaine loved her pets and raised many birds. She was also an avid gardener raising orchids in her greenhouse. Elaine's father and mother and her brother, Perry Clipfell, preceded her in death. Her family includes: George (Lynette) Hadley, Myra Hadley, granddaughters, Tricia Hadley (Lexington Park, MD), Michelle (Aaron) Bell (Eatonville, WA), Nicole Gill; 4 great-grandchildren, Frosty and Mackenzie Gill and Nathaniel and Abigail Bell; sisters, Pauline Sheppard (Baker City) and Evelyn Knight. A Memorial service will be held for Elaine at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, 6196 Sunnyside Road SE, Salem, at 11 am, Monday, March 3, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church or to Willamette Valley Hospice.
