Ronald Lee Keeney, Jr.

September 27, 1969 - December 28, 2013

Ronald Lee Keeney Jr. passed unexpectedly in his sleep Saturday December 28, 2013. Ron was born to Blanche M. and Ronald L. Keeney Sr. on September 27, 1969 in Salem, OR. Ron Graduated Silverton High School in 1987 at the age of 17 and served 4 years with the U.S. Navy. Ron moved to Salem after the Navy and served 4 more years with the Army National Guard. After serving his country Ron began his nearly 20 year career in Telecommunications. In 2006, Ron began his final venture as a Partner and President at Group Six Communications. Ever the entrepreneur, his creativity, sales savvy and no-nonsense approach steered Group Six in the direction of greatness and led to the creation of something very special. His team looked to him not only as a leader, but as a friend and confidant. His incredible vision was exceeded only by his passion to make Group Six the best in the industry. As a tribute to Ron, and because they believe in it as much as they believed in him, his team plans to carry on in his honor and fulfill his dream.

Ron was a devoted husband and father, residing in West Salem with the love of his life Colleen, and their two boys Donovan and Porter. He enjoyed working with his hands, tinkering, building and remodeling around their property. Anyone who has spent time there knows everywhere you look is a display of Ron's craftsmanship and skill. He also enjoyed camping, boating, hunting and being with friends and family. Ron loved to help others and has volunteered for and donated to multiple children's organizations and charities. Ron's passion for life and giving nature blessed all that knew him.

Ron's parents proceeded him in death and he is survived by his sisters Pamela Orcutt (Andy), Lisa, Katherine, brother Rick, 16 nieces and nephews, his wife Colleen Patrick-Keeney, and 5 children, Eric, Kelcie, Sydney, Donovan and Porter.
