Dallas - Delbert "Don" Heppner

Delbert "Don" Heppner died December 21, 2020 due to complications from a heart condition at Salem Memorial Hospital. He was 86. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Lillian Heppner.

Don was born in Salt Creek Oregon where he attended school in a one room schoolhouse until Jr. High. Don married his High School sweetheart Frances E. Nelson (W) and they had two children Todd J. Heppner and Linda Selby who survive him in passing. Survivors also include five grandchildren, Tyler James Michael and Mark Donald Heppner, Christopher and Brian Selby, and Thomas Holbrook. Don also had seven great grandchildren. He was an avid sportsman, and member of the Salem Gun Club. Don ran two companies, the first of which H&H Paving which he retired from in 1996, and his own timber company which he operated with help from family until he passed. Don was very proud to be a direct descendant of the settlers that founded "Heppner" Oregon. Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
