Marita E. Norman
Sublimity - Marita, 87, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on November 16, 1933 in Salem to Clarence and Pearl Agnes Zuber. Marita lived in Sublimity most of her life and graduated from St. Boniface high school in 1951. Marita and Charles "Jack" Edwin Norman were married on November 15, 1952. Shortly after, they moved to Crescent City, CA. While in Crescent City Marita worked for Pacific Engine and also the Home Extension/4-H Department. They returned to Sublimity in 1968 raising 4 children together. After moving back to Sublimity, she worked for Stayton Cannery, which later became Norpac, until opening T-Patch in Salem with her cousin Donetta (Blades) Bunde in 1978. Prior to Jack passing away in 2012, Marita moved to Elmcroft Assisted Living in Stayton, where she had been well cared for. Marita is proceeded in death by her parents: Clarence and Pearl Zuber; brother: Donnie Zuber; her husband: Charles "Jack" Norman. Marita is survived by her 4 children; Denise Norman of Salem; Debbie Ziegler of Central Point; Chuck (Robin) Norman of Stayton; and Richard (Erika) Norman of Gervais; 9 grand-children and 13 great grand-children. Recitation of Rosary will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at 7:00 pm at St. Boniface Church. An intimate Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Boniface Church with a committal/graveside service on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 12:00 pm at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to either St. Jude Hospital online or by mailing a check to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
