Barbara Bartlett Obituary

Barbara Jean Bartlett, 71, died from a broken heart on July 24, 2016, at her home on Anastasia Island. Born in Miami, she grew up in Elwood City, Pennsylvania, attended Lincoln High School and graduated from Pittsburg Business School. She returned to Miami where she married John Bartlett in 1970 and the two relocated to St. Augustine in 1983.
Barbara was involved with the Cameo Club and Safari Club and loved traveling, tennis, entertaining and spoiling children. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia, and nephew and nieces Grant, Kristy, Addison and Salem, and her close friends and family. She will be remembered for her bright smile, big blue eyes and zany sense of humor. We are comforted that she is at peace with her Johnny, mom and dad and dachshunds.
Celebrate Barbara's life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the Welaka Lodge, 1001 Front St., Welaka, FL. Parking is limited, so arrive early. Bring your favorite pictures to share.

Sylvia, I am just now hearing of Barbara's passing. Please accept my heart felt sympathy. Very sad day. I've lost a great friend.

Anyone who knew Barbara will miss her! She and John were wonderful neighbors and we remained friends long after we both moved. I know john was waiting for her. Rip sweet friend.

I pray that Barbara is truly with John. I am so sorry but I will be out of town when you get together in Welaka. We had lost touch with my husband's illness and John's. Sylvia, I know how upset you are to loose her, you both were so close. My heart grieves with you. Fran Powell
