Hazel Margaret Farris Palmer, 78 of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully the evening of Dec. 14, 2017, with her family by her side, sharing many beautiful stories singing and loving her until her last breath.
Born Aug. 12, 1939, in Republic, Washington, to Ursel and Ella Farris, the oldest of four daughters. She was a beautiful, amazing person of strength, love and a voice of authority but with a heart of gold. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald S. Palmer; children, Ronald W. Palmer (Karen) St. Augustine, Michael F. Palmer (Cheryl) of Ashburn, Virginia, John S. Palmer (Robin) St. Augustine, Nan L. Evans (Jerry) of Zuni, Va.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death just two months prior by her daughter, Mary J. Palmer Ozga.
A family reunion and celebration of life will be planned in the spring.
